Scott Pleasants is currently serving as the first Poet Laureate in the 129 year history of the Township of Teaneck, New Jersey. Originally from The Bronx, New York, he sometimes expresses his thoughts through the lens of a seasoned transportation executive and U.S. Air Force Veteran. A published poetry author, Pushcart Prize Nominee and 2024 Reflections on Nature Literary Contest Award winner. His words rhythmically tell the story of our journey. Scott is a long time community advocate who has been recognized on the local and state levels. He offers his writings as poetic reflections of thought, uniquely transferring our shared experiences to words.
